| Dear Xanga,
I'm afraid you and I must part ways. You have treated me well over the past few years, but I'm tired of you. You are trying to do too much for me. I am not as needy as you apparently think. I do not need your friends, your layouts, your mood updates, or anything of the like. You are trying too hard to be like Myspace and Facebook.
My goodness, Xanga. Be yourself!
I am moving to BlogSpot!

| Dear unidentified object,
You embedded yourself in the sidewall of my tire. I had to get a new tire because of you. I don't know what you are or where you came from, but I don't like you.
Sincerely,
Philip

| You know what I learned today? Snoop Dog just released his first country single. It's called My Medicine. It's about heroin addiction. Something scares me about that, but I can't quite put my finger on it.
He starts off by dedicating the song to Johnny Cash, a real American gangster. That's nice of him, wouldn't you say? Johnny would be proud. I'm sure that he and Snoop were homies.
You know what else I learned? Snoop Dogg's real name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. I found that humorous. I'd like to see him buy a doobie with a name like that.

| This drive to Frisco is getting old. I am really starting to feel for
the people who do it on a daily basis. It took me almost an hour and
twenty minutes today, and that is entirely too long. Highway 380 is
the worst road in the world. Highway 121 is almost as bad. I know
it's bad when I find myself looking forward to the five minutes on
Central Expressway, merely for the lack of stoplights. Oh well. It's
only two days a week. Only six weeks left!
Today, just like every day when I get to class, I went to the Gmail
website and started to sign in. I saw an announcement out of the
corner of my eye that struck my curiosity. I had to go back and look.
NEW! Gmail Custom Time ™
Ever wish you could go back in time and send that crucial email that
could have changed everything -- if only it hadn't slipped your mind?
Gmail can now help you with those missed deadlines, missed birthdays
and missed opportunities.
It went on to explain how you can now pre-date email messages to
avoid missed deadlines, late fees, and missed anniversaries. Hmm,
Gmail is now helping people to break the barriers of internet
morality. They are telling us that it's okay to cheat. This thing is
not good.
One of my classmates then walked in and said with a chuckle, "so,
did you see the new Gmail advertisement? Man, you've gotta love their
April Fools' Day pranks."
Oh. April Fools' Day. Right. I knew that. Of course I knew that it was a joke. I really
wasn't starting to believe that, was I? I really have been through
twenty-one of these wretched "holidays". Geez, I always seem to fall
for those things. | | |
| I'm having an easy semester. Why does life seem to be so busy? I suppose I make myself busy, but I'm always thrilled when I have a free day. For now, I require myself to be thrilled over a mostly-free evening.

After months of consideration, everything seems to be falling into place for going back to LeTourneau in the fall. I can't wait. Having a year "off" has been wonderful and has proved to be one of the best decisions of my college career, but honestly, I miss having classes that are both challenging and interesting. I also miss living in a dorm. Wow, I guess I am crazy.
Along with my decision of going back to LeTourneau is my decision to go back to Electrical Engineering. Along with my decision to go back to Electrical Engineering is my decision to break every stereotype of electrical engineers. It's possible, right? I can be a multitalented engineer. I can be an engineer who is equally obsessed with music. I can be an engineer who loves to write. I can be an engineer who loves theater and improv. I can be an engineer who thinks about things besides complex calculus and signals analysis. I can do it.

I've recently discovered NeedToBreathe. They are amazing.
